*Secretary of State Colin Powell recognized one of our cadets to be an exchange student to Great Britain and he had the honor of shadowing Prime Minister Tony Blair for 12 days

*Saved the 18th & Vine Historic District from being taken off the National Registry of Historic Places by refurbishing four houses in the district
*Received three proclamation awards from Mayor Kay Barnes for our community service projects
*Briefed our program at a National Youth Summit in Orlando, Florida
*Received two COMBAT awards for uniting the community against drug and alcohol abuse
· Repaired the exterior of the Mutual Musicians’ Foundation building, the only National Historic Landmark in Kansas City
*Repaired and painted houses for senior citizens and the disabled for over ten years
* Partnered with neighborhood associations to improve the community
*Donated thousands of hours every year to community improvement projects
*Tutored and mentored middle school students in the Kansas City Missouri School District
